About CLL/SLL
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) are cancers caused by abnormal B cells. Normally, B cells, which are a type of white blood cell, protect against infection, but when B cells become abnormal, they impair the body’s immune system.
CLL primarily affects blood and bone marrow, while SLL is found in lymph nodes. Both conditions are treated similarly due to their common origin.
